The NEET UG 2026 exam is set for May 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, prompting Kolhan University to postpone its semester exams scheduled for May 2. This decision aims to ensure a smooth conduct of the NEET exam, which is one of India’s most competitive entrance tests for medical courses.

Approximately 2.09 lakh candidates are expected to participate in this year’s exam, which will take place across 611 examination centres spread over 27 districts. The Examination Controller of Kolhan University commented that the decision was made to minimize inconvenience for students while facilitating both university examinations and the NEET exam.

Candidates are advised to arrive at their exam centres at least 1–2 hours before the reporting time. The National Testing Agency has already released the NEET UG Admit Card for 2026, allowing candidates to prepare adequately for this crucial assessment.

The NEET exam will feature 180 questions, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with a total score of 720 marks. Candidates can earn +4 marks for each correct answer but will face a penalty of -1 mark for incorrect ones. Those scoring above 650 are likely to secure top ranks.

To assist candidates traveling for the exam, special trains will operate on May 3. Authorities have emphasized that candidates should avoid carrying prohibited items such as mobile phones and electronic gadgets to ensure compliance with exam guidelines.

As Jaipur emerges as a significant hub with numerous exam centres, observers are keenly watching how these logistical arrangements will impact candidates’ experiences. With a large number of participants and extensive preparations underway, the focus now shifts to how smoothly everything will unfold on the day of the exam.
