Participants are now required to log into the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat portal and complete at least four hours of prescribed courses during this week-long event. Dr. Alka Mittal emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “Mission Karmayogi aims to build the capacity, performance, and efficiency of civil servants across the country.” This sentiment reflects a growing recognition of the need for continuous learning and skill enhancement in the public sector.

The recent Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme, held on February 9, 2026, at the ICAR–Indian Institute of Millets Research in Hyderabad, further illustrated this shift. Vikas Kulkarni noted that officers and staff have been advised to actively engage with the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat portal, reinforcing the expectation that continuous learning is now a fundamental aspect of civil service.
